Installing your SSL Certificate / Web Server Certificate / Secure Server Certificate from ssl247.com

When your issuance email arrives your SSL certificate in the email. Copy & paste your SSL Certificate including the -----BEGIN NETSCAPE CERTIFICATE CHAIN----- and -----END NETSCAPE CERTIFICATE CHAIN----- headers into a raw text editor such as BBEdit or Notepad, ensuring that no extra line spaces or extra characters are inserted into the data. Save the file as yourdomain.txt.

Installing your Web Server Certificate

1. Go to the WebSTAR ADMIN utility.
2. Open Server Settings under Edit.
3. Select SSL Security.
4. Select your server IP address on the upper panel - the IP address must belong to the host name for which you are going to use your certificate.
5. Select SSL2&SSL3 on the lower panel in the Security Drop Down Menu.
6. Click the Choose button to select your yourdomain.txt file location under SSL Certificate File.
7. Click the Choose button to select its matching private key file location under Private Key File. You will have generated this private when you generated your initial CSR.
8. Type your private key password.
9. Select all encryption options, except MAC (No Encryption).
10. Save and then exit the utility.
11. Stop and then Start your WebSTAR server.

Test your certificate by connecting to your server.
Use the https protocol directive (e.g. https://your server/) to indicate you wish to use secure HTTP.

Note: The padlock icon on your Web browser will be displayed in the locked position if you have set up your site properly.
