Webinar – The Fundamentals of Social Engineering

Social engineering is the act of manipulating one or several people into giving up confidential information and/or system access controls.

In general, the attacker will attempt to retrieve information from public sources, targeted phone calls, spear phishing scenarios or physical penetration attempts.

During a webinar that took place last week, Loïc Castel, the head of our Penetration Testing unit, explained the fundamentals of social engineering, including:

  • What Social Engineering is
  • Facts and Figures
  • Types of Social Engineering scenarios and how to recognise them
  • Examples from real life cases
  • How to respond to threats
