Check with your host provider for problems with your account.

It could be possible that your CodeGuard account is not set up properly with your hosting provider. You may also need to update outdated information regarding your hosting account. To make sure there are no issues pertaining to your hosting account, you should contact your hosting provider’s support page for more help. (If you are a HostGator customer, see the below articles for more instructions on how to troubleshoot problems with your host account.)

Make sure your FTP/SFTP information is correct and up-to-date.

If your FTP/SFTP credentials are outdated or inaccurate, CodeGuard will not be able to connect to your website. Be sure to double-check your FTP credentials to make sure this isn’t the issue. Because CodeGuard uses Amazon Web Services, you may also need to whitelist Amazon Web Services IP ranges to ensure that CodeGuard connection is not blocked by your hosting provider. If you aren’t sure where to find your FTP information or how to whitelist Amazon Web Services, see the articles below.
